    Strictly follow the instructions for installation, operation and maintenance. • Ensure that personnel are competent and have sufficient knowledge of maintenance and operation, especially concerning emergency stopping procedures. • Use only Alfa Laval genuine spare parts and the special tools supplied.

    3 Basic principles of separation Introduction The purpose of separation can be: • to free a liquid of solid particles, • to separate two mutually insoluble liquids with different densities while removing any solids presents at the same time, • to separate and concentrate solid particles from a liquid.

    3.4 Separating temperatures 3 Basic principles of separation Centrifugal separation In a rapidly rotating bowl, the force of gravity is replaced by centrifugal force, which can be thousands of times greater. Separation and sedimentation is continuous and happens very quickly. The centrifugal force in the separator bowl can achieve in a few seconds what takes many hours in a tank under influence of gravity.

    4 Separator basics Design and function 4.1.1 Application The separator is a high-speed centrifugal separator intended for marine and land applications. It is specifically designed for cleaning of mineral oils from water and solid particles (sludge). The cleaned oil is discharged continuously, while the sludge is discharged at intervals.

    4 Separator basics 4.1 Design and function Water seal in purification To prevent the oil from passing the outer edge of the top disc (I) and escaping through the water outlet (221), a water seal must be provided in the bowl. This is done by filling the bowl with water through the water inlet (206), before unseparated oil is supplied.

    4.1 Design and function 4 Separator basics 4.1.5 Sludge discharge function Sludge is discharged through a number of ports (L) in the bowl wall. Between discharges these ports are covered by the sliding bowl bottom (M), which forms an internal bottom in the separating space of the bowl.

    5 Service instructions Periodic maintenance 5.1.1 Introduction Periodic, preventive maintenance reduces the risk of unexpected stoppages and breakdowns. Maintenance logs are shown on the following pages in order to facilitate periodic maintenance.     5.1 Periodic maintenance 5 Service instructions IS — Intermediate Service consists of an overhaul of the separator bowl, inlet and outlet every 3 months or 2000 operating hours. Seals in bowl and gaskets in the inlet/outlet device and operating device are renewed. MS — Major Service consists of an overhaul of the complete separator every 12 months or 8000 operating hours.

    Disintegration hazard Inspect regularly for erosion damage. Inspect frequently if the process liquid is erosive. Always contact your Alfa Laval representative if the largest depth of any erosion damage exceeds 1,0 mm or if the surface of the sliding bowl bottom shows any sign of damage.

Insufficient pressure in the disc stack may affect the bowl balance, which in turn will cause abnormal vibration of the separator and shorten the life of ball bearings.

It also vibrates and sounds to some extent when running. It is good practice to be acquainted with these normal conditions.

    3 Basic principles of separation Introduction The purpose of separation can be: • to free a liquid of solid particles, • to separate two mutually insoluble liquids with different densities while removing any solids presents at the same time, • to separate and concentrate solid particles from a liquid.

    3.4 Separating temperatures 3 Basic principles of separation Centrifugal separation In a rapidly rotating bowl, the force of gravity is replaced by centrifugal force, which can be thousands of times greater. Separation and sedimentation is continuous and happens very quickly. The centrifugal force in the separator bowl can achieve in a few seconds what takes many hours in a tank under influence of gravity.

The liquid is cleaned in the rotating separator bowl inside the frame hood. 2. Sensors The separator is monitored by a speed sensor. An unbalance sensor and an interlocking switch are optional.

    4.1 Overview 4 Design and function Overview The separator comprises a process section and a drive section powered by an electric motor. The separator frame comprises a lower body and a frame hood. The motor is attached to the frame. The frame feet dampen vibration. The bottom part of the separator contains a flat belt transmission, a centrifugal clutch and a vertical spindle.

    4 Design and function 4.2 Drive section Drive section The separator bowl is driven by an electric motor via a belt transmission. The belt pulley on the motor shaft includes a centrifugal clutch. The centrifugal clutch (2) with friction pads ensures a gentle start and smooth acceleration, and at the same time prevents overloading of the belt and motor.

Inside the bowl are the distributor and the disc stack. The disc stack is kept compressed by the bowl hood.

When the oil reaches slots in the distributor, it rises through the channels formed by the disc stack, where it is evenly distributed.

    5 Operating instructions These operating instructions describe routine procedures to follow before and during the start, running and stopping sequences of the separator. If system documentation is available, always follow the operating instructions therein. If there is no system documentation, the instructions below are to be followed.

    5.1 Before first start 5 Operating instructions • Remove the oil pin and make sure that the oil level is above the lower end of the pin, see change on page 161. Too much or too little oil can damage the separator bearings.

    5 Operating instructions 5.2 Normal operation Normal operation 5.2.1 Before normal start To achieve the best separation results, the bowl should be in a clean condition. Check: that all couplings and connections (1) are securely tightened to prevent leakages. Leaking hot liquid can cause burns.

After every start the separator must always be run continuously for a minimum of 5 hour to ensure proper lubrication.

Follow the maintenance log in this chapter in order to facilitate the periodic maintenance. 6.1.1 Maintenance intervals The following directions for periodic maintenance give a brief description of parts to be cleaned, checked and renewed at different maintenance intervals.

В своей работе я использую сепаратор фирмы Alfa Laval. Серия CLARA включает в себя ряд моделей разной производительности: CLARA 20, CLARA 80, CLARA 200 и CLARA 500. CLARA представляет собой полностью готовую к установке систему сепарации на базе технологии тарельчатых сепараторов Альфа Лаваль. Конструкция обеспечивает высокую динамическую перегрузку, соответствует требованиям жестких гигиенических стандартов и оборудована системой автоматического управления.

Схема сепаратора Альфа Лаваль (Alfa Laval):

Процесс сепарации происходит во вращающемся барабане. Продукт подается во вращающийся барабан сепаратора сверху через неподвижный впускной патрубок (1) и разгоняется в распределителе (2) перед входом в пакет тарелок (3). Распределитель специально разработан для обеспечения плавного разгона подаваемой жидкости. Разделение жидкой и твердой фаз происходит в пространстве между тарелками. При этом жидкая фаза перемещается через пакет тарелок к центру барабана и поступает в напорную камеру, откуда под давлением выгружается из сепаратора посредством встроенного напорного диска (4). Твердая фаза собирается на периферии барабана, откуда производится ее периодическая разгрузка в кожух с накопителем твердой фазы. Разгрузка твердой фазы осуществляется гидравлической системой, которая через заданные интервалы времени резко перемещает вниз подвижное дно барабана (5). открывая таким образом каналы выгрузки твердой фазы (6). Это типовая схема центробежного сепаратора с выгрузкой отделяемой твердой фазы.

Назначение и область применения

Сепаратор CLARA способен удалять взвешенные твердые частицы размером 0,5-500 мкм. Содержание твердой фазы в исходном продукте обычно составляет 0,1-10% от общего объема, но может быть и выше. Таким образом, сепараторы CLARA очень хорошо подходят для осветления таких продуктов, как:

· муст белого винограда (самотек и отжатый сок)

· молодое вино (спокойное и игристое)

· зрелое вино

· соки (плодово-ягодные, цитрусовые, из тропических фруктов).

Сепараторы серии CLARA имеют многоцелевой впускной узел DynaFlow, предназначенный для использования при неоднородной концентрации твердой фазы и скорости потока. Скорость подачи исходного продукта нарастает очень медленно, сводя к минимуму разрушение частиц и повышая эффективность сепарации.

Кроме того, сепараторы CLARA оснащены компьютеризированной системой Альфа Лаваль SmartEject с автоматическим запуском, которая выполняет периодическую выгрузку частиц твердой фазы с низким содержанием влаги. Водонепроницаемая оболочка Oxy-stop препятствует проникновению внутрь кислорода, а встроенный напорный диск позволяет обходиться без наружного насоса. Верхнюю часть корпуса можно покрыть специальным кожухом для охлаждения и подавления шума.

Выдвижное дно барабана покрыто легкозаменяемым специальным материалом для защиты от абразивных твердых частиц. Наличие преобразователя частоты в частотно-регулируемом электроприводе обеспечивает ряд преимуществ, в том числе малый пусковой ток и автономное питание на короткий срок в случае сбоя в электросети.

Особая геометрия барабана центрифуги способствует плавному ускорению агломератов и частиц, чувствительных к смещению. Эти важные гидродинамические усовершенствования в комбинации с новой патентованной конструкцией пакета тарелок обеспечивают максимальную эффективность сепарации, и, в то же время, помогают сократить потребление энергии. Напорный диск, помогающий свести к минимуму проникновение внутрь кислорода и не пропускающий наружу запахов или углекислого газа. Герметичная модификация с запирающим механизмом, позволяющим осветлять игристые вина, находящиеся под давлением.

А начиналось все с разработки Густавом де Лавалем центробежного молочного сепаратора, производительностью 130 литров в час, впервые продемонстрированном в 1879 году в Стокгольме. Годом основания компании Альфа Лаваль считается 1883, когда Густаф де Лаваль и его партнер Оскар Ламм создали компанию AB Separator.

Важнейшим этапом совершенствования сепараторов является приобретение патента на конические металлические диски у немецкого изобретателя Клеменса фон Бехтольсхайма в 1889 году. С помощью этих, так называемых, Альфа-дисков производительность сепаратора увеличилась во много раз.

А первый масляный сепаратор компания Альфа Лаваль продала в 1916 году. В предвоенные годы формируются предприятия в Дании, Южной Африке, Финляндии, Австралии, Новой Зеландии, Польше, Югославии и Ирландии.

Первые продажи компанией самоочищающихся сепараторов начинаются в 1951 году.

В 1963 году компания изменяет свое название с AB Separator на Alfa-Laval AB. Название “Альфа” является производным от Альфа-дисков и “Лаваль” от фамилии основателя компании.

В последующие годы компания успешно развивается в областях нагревания, охлаждения, разделения (сепарирования) и транспортировки жидкостей на предприятиях, занимающихся производством продовольственных товаров, напитков, химических веществ и нефтепродуктов, лекарств, крахмала, сахара, этилового спирта и др. Кроме того, компания выпускает оборудование для холодильных установок и кондиционирования воздуха. Альфа Лаваль расширяет свои заводы, офисы и склады по всему миру.

В 1993 году корпорация приобрела Болшевский машиностроительный завод (г. Королев Московской области), переименованный впоследствии в ОАО «Альфа Лаваль Поток». Сейчас на заводе действуют два производства: разборных пластинчатых теплообменников и воздушных теплообменников для систем холодоснабжения.

В настоящее время концерн Альфа Лаваль стал ведущим мировым поставщиком сепараторов, теплообменников, насосов, холодильного оборудования и кондиционеров как за счет собственных разработок, так за счет приобретения патентов, а также покупки других компаний, таких как Helpman, Finnish Fincoil, Packinox SA, Aalborg Industries, Frank Mohn и др.. Надежный модульный контроллер

Преимущества новых систем сепарации S и P Flex могут использоваться не только на верфях. Владельцы судов получают сепарационную систему с системным контроллером EPC 60, которая лучше приспособлена к условиям конкретного машинного отделения, более удобную и надежную в работе.

EPC 60 — это модульный блок управления, созданный из стандартных заменяемых составляющих. При его использовании обнаружение неисправности и замена дефектных деталей осуществляются за считанные секунды, а запасные части всегда доступны. Кроме того, в судовой модульной версии EPC 60 улучшена защита от вибрации и высокой температуры, действующих в машинном отделении.

Основные характеристики системы

Клиенты могут по-прежнему рассчитывать на высокую эффективность, малый объем шлама и низкие эксплуатационные расходы сепараторов Альфа Лаваль типа S и P, которые составляют основу предложения Flex.

Сепаратор типа S, отвечающий требованиям Стандарта на рабочие характеристики судовых сепарационных систем (CWA 15 375), разработан на основе технологии Alcap. В нем предусмотрено автоматическое регулирование рабочих параметров системы в зависимости от плотности тяжелых сортов топлива.

Сепаратор типа Р создан без использования технологии Alcap, и имеет ручную настройку гравитационного диска. Это экономичный вариант для очистки смазочного масла и дизельного топлива однородной плотности.

В сепараторах S и P используется одна и та же механическая платформа с оптимизированным барабаном и революционными техническими решениями CentriShoot и CentriLock.

CentriShoot — запатентованная система с гибким дном для выгрузки, заменяющая подвижное дно барабана, которая повышает эффективность сепарации и снижает износ при непосредственном контакте металла с металлом.

Замковое устройство CentriLock является альтернативой резьбовым стопорным кольцам из углеродистой стали и представляет собой разрезное стопорное кольцо из нержавеющей стали, которое можно устанавливать и снимать без риска повреждения барабана сепаратора.

В большинстве случаев Альфа Лаваль рекомендует использовать на судах смешанную систему, обеспечивающую идеальное сочетание производительности и экономичности. Автоматические сепараторы типа S в ней используются для очистки топлива и защиты двигателя от каталитических и других твердых частиц, а сепараторы типа Р, в которых регулировка выполняется с помощью гравитационного диска, обеспечивают экономичную очистку смазочного масла и дизельного топлива. При использовании новых систем сепарации S и Р Flex смешанную установку можно даже встроить в отдельный модуль.

При обводненном или сильно загрязненном масле или топливе фильтры не обеспечат их очистку. В этом случае, для очистки топлива или масла используют сепараторы.
Процесс сепарирования основан на использовании центробежной силы, возникающей при вращательном движении жидкости, для отделения частиц примеси. Сепараторы бывают с ручной очисткой с выводом их из действия, с очисткой без вывода из действия и самоочищающиеся сепараторы непрерывного действия. Самые распространенные сепараторы на иностранных судах типа «Альфа-Лаваль».

Жидкая смесь в стационарном барабане очищается медленно; тяжелые частицы в жидкой

смеси опускаются на дно под действием силы тяжести. Более легкая жидкость поднимается, в то время как более тяжелая жидкость и твердые частицы опускаются. Непрерывная сепарация и осаждение могут достигаться в баке-отстойнике, имеющем выходы, приспособленные к разным плотностям жидкостей. Более тяжелые частицы в жидкой смеси осаждаются и образуют осажденный слой на дне бака. Накопление ила периодически удаляется из чаши вручную.
