В случае, когда требуется подключить большое количество оборудования, потребуется купить коммутатор. Его основной функцией остается передача данных дальше по сети и разделение одного входящего потока на несколько исходящих. Сегодня поговорим про D-Lnk DES-1008D, который является одним из таких коммутаторов и может помочь в случае, если хотите организовать свою небольшую сеть.

Характеристики DES-1008D
Для начала поговорим о характеристиках устройства. Их у свитча не так уж и много, так что перечислим основные:
- Порты: 8 портов 10 или 100 Мбит/с;
- Корпус: металл;
- Green Ethernet;
- Коммутационная матрица: 1,6 Гбит/с;
- Автоматическое определение полярности MDI или MDIX на всех портах;
- Метод коммутации: store-and-forward;
- Ethernet/Fast Ethernet: полный дуплекс или полудуплекс;
- Jumbo-фреймы 2,048 байт;
- Метод «Back pressure» в режиме полудуплекса;
- Прием и передача по проводной сети;
- Автосогласование скорости на каждом порту;
- Поддержка IEEE 802.1p QoS (4 очереди, Strict Mode).
Теперь разберем подробнее его возможности. Первое и единственное на что смотрят пользователи при покупке – это порты. Он 8-портовый со скоростью передачи в 100 Мбит/секунда. Такого количества достаточно, чтобы подключить провод от маршрутизатора, телевизор и несколько компьютеров. Хватит и на дополнительное оборудование. Следующим по количеству идет уже девайс с 16 портами, так что домой больше 8 редко берут.
Скорость в 100 Мбит является стандартной, для использования внутри дома этого хватит, но если вы планируете организовывать медиа-сервер или что-то вроде него, то лучше присмотрите технику с гигабитным портом.
Для соединения в сеть нескольких компьютеров и медиа сервера между собой лучше брать технику с запасом скорости.
На остальное обычно не обращают внимания, но мы кратко пробежимся по возможностям свитча. Сначала обратите внимание на металлический корпус. Это значит, что он лучше защищен от механических повреждений, но лучше проводит тепло. Ставьте его в места, где имеется шанс поцарапать технику или уронить на неё что-то. Не ставьте в места, где жарко или холодно, потому что температура моментально передастся на внутреннюю плату.
Не ставьте свитч с металлическим корпусом рядом с батареей. Он постоянно будет перегреваться.
Из остального стоит отметить, что коммутатор обладает возможностью работать в режиме полного дуплекса, что увеличивает скорость. Внутренняя проводимость позволяет обеспечивать работой все порты при пиковой загрузке. Пришедшие пакеты сначала сохраняет и проверяет на ошибки, только потом отправляет на место. Обладает встроенной системой для экономии энергии, благодаря настройке работы портов.
Значение индикаторов
Теперь поговорим об индикаторах. Они располагаются на передней панели, так что старайтесь поворачивать коммутатор лицом в ту сторону, где его можно легко увидеть. Первый и самый левый индикатор – это «Power». Там горит зеленый светодиод, когда подключено электричество. Если больше ничего не подключено, то он один горит.
Следующие восемь штук отвечают за свои порты. Они подписаны, как и порты сзади. Это сделано для того, чтобы вы могли определить, какое устройство сейчас подключено, а какое нет. Мигают индикаторы во время работы, когда происходит передача или получение данных, так что не стоит удивляться. Если не мигают или делают это редко, значит активного обмена информацией не идет. Если не горит, то или не подключен провод в порт или устройство на другом конце сейчас не работает.
Последние два индикатора – это «Link» и «Act». Первый горит в случае, если установлена связь хоть с чем-то, то есть, если к коммутатору подключены кабеля. Второй горит во время обмена данными и работы. Фактически, они тоже горят постоянно, если все в работе идет нормально.

Является надежным устройством, только стоит иметь в виду, что пошаливает блок питания. У него распространенные характеристики, так что сможете подобрать в магазине аналогичный или отнести на перепайку. В остальном является весьма надежным устройством, хотя скорости ему уже не хватает.
Инструкция по подключению
Свитч Dlink DES-1008D/ l2b – это неуправляемый коммутатор. Это значит, что настройка коммутатора не требуется и её даже нельзя провести. У него нет никакого веб-интерфейса или специальной программы для настройки. Регулируемых параметров тоже нет, все управление идет в автоматическом режиме по заранее заложенной программе.
Для установки вам потребуется найти место, куда дотянутся кабеля. Установите там коммутатор, проследите, чтобы он не стоял на улице или возле батареи. Воткните все кабеля в порты, потом подключите девайс к электричеству. На этом установка закончена, приступайте к работе. Проверьте по миганию индикаторов, что свитч видит все устройства.
Сделаем краткий вывод, Dlink DES-1008D – это надежный аппарат, который на рынке много лет. Ему не хватает скорости портов, зато он берет крепким корпусом и надежной аппаратной частью. Устройство из серии «поставил и забыл лет на десять», так что можете его покупать для дома или дачи, если не нужна большая скорость работы.

Notice Before Setting Up the DES-1005D / DES-1008D
Check Your Package Contents
The setup of the Switch can be performed using the following steps:
A.
Install the DES-1005D / DES-1008D in a fairly cool and dry place. See Technical
Specification for the acceptable operation temperature and humidity ranges.
B.
Install the Switch in a site free from strong electromagnetic source, vibration, dust,
and direct sunlight.
C.
Leave at least 10cm of space at the left and right hand side of the Switch for
ventilation.
D.
Visually inspect the DC power jack and make sure that it is fully secured to the
power adapter.
Do not stack any device on top of the Switch.

A.
Power:
Power is supplied through an external DC power adapter. Check the technical
specification section for information about the DC power input voltage. Since the
DES-1005D / DES-1008D does not include a power button, plugging its power adapter
into a power outlet will immediately power it on.
B.
Fast Ethernet Ports:
These ports support network speeds of either 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps, and can operate
in half- and full- duplex transfer modes. These ports also support automatic MDI/MDIX
crossover detection, which gives the Switch true, “plug and play” capabilities. Just
connect any network cable between the Switch and the device, and The Switch will
automatically detect the settings of the device and adjust itself accordingly.
LED Indicators
A.
Power Indicator
This green indicator light is on when the Switch is receiving power; otherwise, it is off.
B.
Link/Act
This LED indicator light is green when the port is connected to a device. The green
indicator blinks as data is transmitted or received.
