Модем из далекого 2008. Тогда провайдер ВОЛЯ массово подключал Киев и окрестности с помощью коаксиального антенного кабеля. Модем достался даром при подключении. Сейчас рыночная стоимость такой модели меньше двух долларов, все объясняется тем что рынок предлагает гигабитный интернет с абонплатой в полторы сотни гривен. Этот модем обеспечивает скорость download ограничивается 38/43 мбс (демодуляция 64/256QAM), upload 10 мбс. Поддерживает стандарты кабельного интернета DOCSIS 2.0, 1.1, 1.0. К компьютеру подключается с помощью патчкорда (IEEE 802.3 10/100 Мбит/с Fast Ethernet) или по юсб 1.1(12 Мбит/с, полноскоростной режим). В те годы ХП и 2К доминировали среди операционных систем домашних пользователей, поэтому драйвер на СD для юсб подключения был необходим. Для просмотра роликов на ютубе не было проблем, HD видео скачивали с торрентов.

Это шикарный модем, он не нагревался и работал годами без отключения и перезагрузок. При снятой крышке видно качественные компоненты плюс грамотная разводка материнской платы не давали никаких шансов перегреву. Отдельный огромный зачет за 12в адаптер питания, который имел почти двух метровый шнур, который дотягивался до труднодоступной розетки.

Хороший модем
USB-модемами пользуюсь с 2010 года, именно тогда наконец у меня прошла мучительная эра подключения мобильного телефона к компьютеру через кабель для обзора глобальной паутины. Этот модем стал третьим по счету, когда предыдущий, тоже 4G был превращен в «кирпич» в результате неудачной прошивки.
